Fabric technology
Every run of fabric is subjected to rigorous testing to ensure there are no compromises on performance or protection. Our products are developed to be fit for purpose and must meet the strict high quality standards we set.
We’re always exploring new fabric technologies, carefully evaluating every component that contributes to superior UPF protection. This includes colour, composition, weave, and weight.
Technical testing
The UPF testing is carried out at independent laboratories located around the world including Australia, which is accredited by Australia’s National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA).
✓ Approved with the following Australian, American and international rating standards: AS/NZS 4399:1966, AS 4399:2020, AST D6544-2012/ASTM D6603 2012/AATCC 183-2014.
✓ A number of our fabrics are UV label approved, certified to retain its UPF 50+ rating after 50 washes and 120 hours of stimulated sunlight.
✓ Most of our fabrics are tested and approved with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and Bluesign, which certify that the fabric has been tested for non-regulated substances to ensure our products are free of harmful chemicals that are safe for people and the environment.
Manufacturing
Fabrics that pass our testing process are then put into production. Throughout the production process many inspections take place ensuring we deliver high quality products that meet our high standards.
